In 2010 Princess became the first major European boat-builder to be awarded ISO14001. Every Princess model up to 85 feet (26 m) in length meets the RINA Green Plus (Y) notation, an independently verified environmental accreditation from the Classification Society RINA and applies to each individual model.
South Yard acquired and other positive news
South Yard is acquired on a long term lease from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and development of the new M Class yachts begins.
Four new models are launched – V42, V56, V78 and the 78 Motor Yacht.
Princess Yachts are listed in the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 for the first time.
LVMH Group becomes new owners of Princess
In 2008 Princess Yachts International is acquired by LVMH Group, which is owned by the french businessman Bernard Arnault. The LVMH Group includes over 60 international luxurious brands like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, De Beers, Moet Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Krug.
