THE GÖTA CANAL – SWEDEN’S BLUE RIBBON

Travelling through the Göta Canal is a journey through both nature and Swedish history. Often referred to as Sweden’s blue ribbon, the canal winds its way through landscapes of oak trees, open fields, small communities and historic locks.

For children, passing through the locks becomes an adventure in itself. Watching the boat slowly rise or descend several metres in a lock is almost magical.
